Welcome to our Dog Registration page! If you live within the city limits and own a dog, it’s essential to register your furry friend with the city. Visit City Hall at 302 S Main Street to complete the process. Please bring proof of your dogs Rabies Vaccination and note that the registration fee is $5.00 for neutered dogs and $10.00 for non-neutered dogs. You must renew your registration EVERY May. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied after May 31st. You can find the necessary paperwork below, along with important Animal Regulations for your reference. Dog Pound

Looking for your lost dog in Southwest City? Start by calling City Hall to see if your furry friend has been brought to our dog pound. There’s a $25 pickup fee, plus a daily fee of $5. Please remember to bring proof of rabies vaccination to have your pet released. We do not accept dogs from outside limits, and our pound is small, so we partner with Im Your Huckleberry Pet Rescue to assist in saving the dogs we take in. Let’s all be responsible and keep our pets safe at home!
